SYNOPSIS

Finn’s fast-food job gets an upgrade when Elsie enters his world, but their romance in VR leads to chaotic misunderstandings in this quirky coming-of-age tale.

Finn’s mundane job at a local fast-food chain takes an unexpected turn when Elsie joins the team. Their virtual reality world brings them closer together, but Finn finds it difficult to express his affection for Elsie. The two feel the need to pretend to be someone else, resulting in misunderstandings. The film explores the complexity of modern relationships in the tech age, emphasizing the dangers of relying too heavily on motivational speakers and online role models without truly understanding oneself. A modern coming-of-age tale with a twist of absurd comedy.

The film’s retro-futuristic art direction pays tribute to the 90s/2000s mixed with modern digital media, creating a unique style reflecting our internet lifestyle. The protagonist spends most of his time in a VR world, which is visualised with animation. Part of our film crew has a background in animation and VFX, and we are currently editing and doing the animation.
